Urban Decay 'Vice 4' Palette Review

Hey Guys!
Sorry for the long-time-no-post but I have been recovering from surgery and visiting home back in London! (A post about that coming in the near future).
I can't tell you how excited I have been about writing this post! I was fortunate enough to win the Urban Decay 'Vice 4' palette from Mackenzie at mackenziekendall.com after she hosted a giveaway. Mackenzie is a blogger who I really look up to and whose blog I love to read/check almost daily so it was an awesome honor to be chosen as the winner!!

This is my second Urban Decay palette, (I own the 'Naked Basics' palette) and what I really love about Urban Decay is how beautiful their packaging is. This palette is inspired by an oil spill, mirrored in its beautiful packaging and amazing array of colours.

I also love that it has an awesome big mirror which is great if you are on the go, and comes with a double ended brush with a flat shadow brush with short bristles and a longer-bristled blending brush.

Unfortunately a couple of the shadows got broken in the mail, but you are still able to see what a gorgeous range of colours it has! It has 20 shadows in total, with 4 matte and 16 shimmery. I absolutely love how pigmented they are! One warning; there is a bit of fallout when applying them so it is best to apply them before you apply the rest of your face makeup.

I really love this palette and I am so excited to branch out of my comfort zone and try some new,fun colours that I otherwise may not have tried!

Thank you so much for checking out my blog! What is your new years beauty resolution?

What to pack when staying in hospital

Hey guys!
I'm so sorry that it has been a while since I have posted but things have been very busy here as I have been getting ready/recovering from surgery! I am very thankful that everything went well and I am now resting at home.
When packing for my hospital stay, I honestly had no idea what to bring. I have never stayed in hospital for anything more than a day and I just had no idea what I would need. I ended up over-packing and not even touching a lot of the stuff I bought. So here is my ultimate packing guide for staying in hospital.

1. Fuzzy Robe: my doctors really liked to get me up and moving around, so a fluffy robe was definitely necessary over my hospital gown!
2. Wet Hair Brush: on a usual day, my hair is a nightmare. Add a couple days without washing + a serious case of bed head and you get an unmanageable mane. The wetbrush is a lifesaver to keep the mane at least a little more manageable.
3. Cozy Slippers: for those late-night bathroom runs
4. Ipad: (stocked with favorite shows/a good book) a must-have between naps
5. Face/Body Moisturizer: skin hair and nails all go when you are sick, so keeping skin nice and moisturized is essential. I've heard great things about this moisturizer and have been dying to try it out.
6. Fun Cushion: for propping up, leaning, hugging etc.
7. Hair Bands: an essential to keep the mane under control/out of the way
8. Soft Sweats: Probably the only real clothes you will need, just the one pair is perfect for getting to/from the hospital.
9. Oversized Top: Ditto
10. Lip Balm: my lips got really chapped, so a lip balm/scrub was well utilized
11. Cushy Blanket: my favorite item by far! Made my hospital bed seem more like home.
12. Body Wash/Shampoo: this two-in-one product is perfect as it is easy and doesn't take up space.

Thank you guys for checking out my blog. I hope you enjoyed reading it! I would love to know if you guys have any ideas/requests for an upcoming post. What is one item that you take everywhere with you?

Colourful Cape

Hey guys! I am pretty obsessed with capes right now. I love how they really add something extra to an otherwise simple look AND that it is basically like wearing a blanket around!! (Unfortunately I can't find this exact cape anywhere but I have linked some other ones down below!)  I recently purchased these leopard print flats and I have been so surprised with how versatile they are. They are also super comfy and come in a bunch of colours so I would definitely recommend!
Thank you so much for reading my blog! What is a piece of clothing you've been surprised how often you've worn it?
